Earlier this week we in the ACT community were all shocked to hear of the death of Louise Gardner, better known as ACT Auntie. The illustrator who brought a dynamic life to many ACT concepts.
Louise had a signature style that was unmistakable, and had a real gift of conveying material without the use of color.
I never interacted with Louise in person or through any other means, but I did enjoy viewing her work.
Today perhaps you can take a look through her the ACT Auntie facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/ACTAuntie/
And maybe watch this video of her talking about her passion in her own words.
Loiuse's passing leaves me very sad and I want to thank you for this post ... Louise was someone who inspired me and inspires me a lot. What I admire the most is her ability
creative that transforms ... her drawings connect me with play, joy, complicity. A huge hug dear Louise where you are.
